With pelvic health, we recognize in many cases it is an untold story. Concerns about incontinence, prolapse and pain are often suffered alone. At Trinity, we are able to offer effective and evidence-based treatment options so you don’t have to give up what you want to do or to ever feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. Whether you are pregnant, a new mom or dad, a postmenopausal world traveller; a highschool gymnast, a weightlifter in your early or mid-life prime, a grandparent, a post-surgical patient, or/and uniquely you, we will explore the experiences and concerns that make up your story. We can help.

• Pelvic health concerns we treat include:
• Sport related leaking
• Pregnancy related leaking; before and after
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Pregnancy related pelvic pain
• Pelvic girdle pain (including sacroiliac joint, pubic symphysis)
• Low back pain
• Diastasis rectus
• Bladder sensitivity

Other instances of urinary or fecal incontinence

Pelvic health physiotherapy combines evidence-based internal and external assessment, functional assessment of surrounding musculature, manual therapy, biofeedback, exercise prescription, and education.

Although we do internal exams, and recognize that they can be invaluable to both assessment and treatment, they will not be necessary for every patient, and it will always be 100% the patient’s choice, recognizing that this requires an ongoing conversation about consent. Manual therapy and exercise prescription can address both strength and extensibility of the pelvic floor as well as the surrounding muscles.

As partners in your care, it’s our commitment to help you feel comfortable to share your story, keep you feeling informed, empowered, and confident, and help you return to how you want to feel.
